SCADA SOFTWARE AND TELEMETRY

Gasoducto Cruz del Sur (GCDS) is a Uruguayan company belonging to the BG (British Gas) group.
Gasoducto Cruz del Sur S.A. has been the concessionaire to design, build and operate the Gasoducto Buenos Aires - Montevideo since 2002.
Two redundant Control Rooms (Main and Back-up) were implemented in Montevideo. Each Control Room has redundant SCADA iFix software and communicates with the various units for measuring and reducing gas, city gates and odorizers through cellular modem telemetry with redundant GPRS technology using two operating companies.
